Last week, our Secretary General, Valérie Plainemaison, attended the World Sustainable Energy Days 2025: one of Europe’s largest annual conferences on the energy transition and climate neutrality, held in Wels, Austria. For the Energy Efficiency Policy Conference, EFIEES had the opportunity to showcase best practices from our members in both buildings and industry.

This presentation was based on our recent brochure, which highlights successful energy management projects led by our ESCOs. Through a series of real-world examples, we demonstrated the impact of long-term energy efficiency contracts—ranging from 6 to 20 years—and the impressive energy savings achieved, from 21% to 43%.

In this event, EFIEES especially highlighted that energy efficiency, and in particular energy management solutions, are key drivers of EU competitiveness, energy security, and economic growth.
